There are 3 types of injuries defined in the Ontario Auto Insurance Policy:
Minor is a sprain, strain, whiplash, contusion, abrasion, laceration etc . If an injury is determined to be a “minor”, $ 3,500 is the maximum payable.
Serious – Injuries that disrupt a person’s quality of life for an extended period of time.
Catastrophic – Permanent or Long term injuries, spinal cord injury, amputation, loss of vision in both eyes, Brain Injury etc.
